This prototype was developed as a semi-autonomous unit in the shrimp processing at a large factory. A delta-robot picks and places shrimps inside the unit and it de-heads the shrimp separating its head from tail. After being de-headed, the unit releases the shrimp tail onto a conveyor belt which delivers it to the next processing stage.

The final unit will be made of a specific aluminum alloy suitable for the food industry.

The green button simulates a signal from the robotic arm that the shrimp is in the clamps and ready for de-heading.
